Lloret de Mar, in Girona province, saw a shed fire on Friday evening, 5 June 2026, that sent smoke into a nearby home. Emergency services said the blaze started in an outdoor shed under a staircase on Carrer d’Itàlia.

Firefighters received the alert at 9:31pm and sent four crews to the scene. The shed contained outdoor furniture and had a wooden roof, which caught fire.

The flames did not spread into the house, but heat from the fire broke the windows and smoke entered the property. Officials confirmed that no one was inside the home when the incident happened.

Crews worked to put out the blaze and limit the damage to the exterior structure. The fire was contained to the shed and the area around it.

Further checks on the cause of the fire and the cost of repairs were not detailed in the initial report. For more local coverage, see our news page.
