Lleida is set for more traffic disruption this week as the pavement expansion and improvement works on Comtes d'Urgell street move into their final phase.

From Monday 8 June to Friday 12 June, Roger de Llúria street will be closed to traffic between Camí de Corbins and Comtes d'Urgell street, in the direction of Barris Nord. The closure is needed to repair a subsidence found in the road surface at the junction with Comtes d'Urgell. Drivers can use Camí de Corbins and Baró de Maials as alternative routes.

On Friday 12 June, the main paving work will affect the whole construction area. The section of Comtes d'Urgell between Príncep de Viana and Josep Pla streets will be asphalted, along with the final stretch of Roger de Llúria to complete the junction works.

As a result, Comtes d'Urgell will also be closed to traffic on Friday between Príncep de Viana and Josep Pla. Once this stage is finished, the project will be close to completion.

Officials say the work is intended to improve pedestrian accessibility and safety in the area. For more local updates, see news.
