La Bisbal d'Empordà bus station, in Girona province, has reopened after being closed since February because of damage caused by strong winds. The Department of Territory confirmed the station returned to service on 26 May 2026.
The repairs focused on removing the false ceiling from the canopy and other elements that could have fallen. The department said the work was carried out to make the station safe for users, at a total cost of €60,000.
While the station was closed, a temporary bus stop was set up nearby so services could continue for passengers in La Bisbal d'Empordà and the surrounding area.
The Department of Territory has also said it plans a new project to install a new false ceiling in the station canopy. No timeline or further cost details have been announced yet.
