Igualada, Catalonia, saw Igualada Rigat beat FC Barcelona 2-1 on Sunday, 7 June 2026, in the OK Liga semi-finals, levelling the series at 2-2 and forcing a fifth match.
The win came at Les Comes pavilion, where the home crowd backed Igualada from the start. The team responded with a disciplined display, after going into the game knowing they needed a result to keep the tie alive.
Igualada created the first clear chances, with Marc González shooting wide early on and Marc Carol also going close. Barça had fewer openings in the first half, while Arnau Martínez kept the score level before the break.
The second half was tighter. Barça went ahead through Sergi Llorca, but Igualada stayed in the match. Ferran Busquets saved a direct free-kick from Ferran Font, then Biel Llanes equalised from another free-kick before Marc Carol scored the winner.
Barça pushed for an equaliser in the closing minutes, including a spell with five outfield players and no goalkeeper. Igualada held firm, even after Matias Pascual received a blue card, and secured the result that sends the series to a decider.
The fifth and final match will be played next Wednesday at the Palau Blaugrana. In the other semi-final, Liceo beat Parlem Calafell 3-4 to reach the final. For more Catalonia-wide sports coverage, see our news page.
