Igualada hosted the second edition of the Capipota de Catalunya competition, with prizes going to two Catalan venues, Es cul de sac in Igualada and El Colmado in Llívia.

The contest was part of the Vadefoodies Festival. Es cul de sac won the Classic award, while Albert Boronat from El Colmado received the Innovation prize.

Both winners were awarded €500. The competition took place on Saturday, 6 June 2026, in the Anoia capital.

The event was organised by the Vadefoodies Gastronomic and Cultural Association, with support from Igualada City Council and the Guild of Butchers of Catalonia.
