Girona’s women’s hockey team has forced a third and final OK Liga play-off semi-final, after winning 1-5 away to Caldes.

The result levels the series after Girona lost the first match at home. The place in the final will now be decided in Sunday’s match in Palau.

Coach Pere Bachs’ side made the game count in the first half, going 0-3 ahead at the break with goals from Laia Vives, Laia Castro and Marta Soler.

Caldes tried to respond after half-time, but Girona added two more goals, one from Vives and another from Castro, to move clear at 0-5.

Caldes scored a late consolation goal, but it did not change the outcome. Girona now head into Sunday’s decider with a place in the OK Liga final at stake.
