Girona province is marking the loss of 11 residents from towns including Aiguaviva, Banyoles, Blanes, Caldes de Malavella, Corçà, Pals, Roses, Sant Julià de Ramis, Torroella de Montgrí and Vidreres. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, 14 June 2026, and Monday, 15 June 2026, according to obituaries published by Diari de Girona.
On Sunday, Trinitat Ribot Poater, 80, of Aiguaviva, married to Francisco Peraferrer Terma, will be remembered at 12pm at the Sant Joan Baptista parish in Aiguaviva. Miquel Ullastres Nadal, 82, from Banyoles, married to Fina Sanchez Xargayó, will have his service at 9:15am at the Santa Maria dels Turers parish in Banyoles. Josep Garriga Llaurador, 88, of Corçà, married to Dolors Bayod Devant, will be honoured at 11am at the Sant Julià i Santa Basilissa parish in Corçà.
Also on Sunday, Montse Llorente Castro, 57, from Caldes de Malavella, married to Jordi García Saez, will have her ceremony at 11:30am at the Girona Funeral Home. Antonio Fuentes Martínez, 72, of Sant Julià de Ramis, married to Maria de los Ángeles García Gil, will also be remembered at the Girona Funeral Home at 12:30pm. José Antonio Fernández Milán, 47, a single man with a daughter and resident of Vidreres, will have his ceremony at 1:30pm at the Mémora Girona Funeral Home ceremony hall.
Monday’s services include Elisa Galí Poch, 88, a widow of Joan Balateu Just from Banyoles, at 10am at the Banyoles Funeral Home. Francesc Cornellà Oliu, 82, married to María del Sol Zamora Ojer and resident of Barcelona but originally from Blanes, will have his service at 6pm at the Santa Maria de Blanes parish.
Joan Gumà Marti, 79, of Pals, married to Martina Braunecker Lechartre, will be remembered at 10am at the Palafrugell Funeral Home. Ana Berta Mares, 89, a widow of Mauricio from Roses, will be honoured at 11am at the Santa Maria Assumpta parish in Roses. Jaume Colls Planas, 95, a widower of Francisca Torrecillas Cruz from Torroella de Montgrí, will have his ceremony at 12pm at the Torroella de Montgrí Funeral Home.
