Girona will host the second meeting of Parkinson's associations in Catalonia this Saturday, 6 June. The day will bring together people from different Parkinson's-related groups for institutional events, social contact and a guided visit around the city.
The meeting is being organised by the Girona Parkinson's Association and will take place across several central locations in Girona. Participants are due to meet at 10.15am on Avinguda Sant Francesc, 30, in front of Josep Coll's Tulip for Parkinson sculpture.
From there, the group will go to Girona City Council for an institutional reception and a group photograph at 11am. The programme then continues with a guided tour of the city, ending at 1.30pm at Pont de Pedra.
After lunch, the afternoon will move to the Cinema Museum for a guided visit. The day will finish in Plaça Santa Susanna del Mercadal.
The meeting is intended to connect Parkinson's associations across Catalonia and provide a space for shared experience and mutual support. It follows the first edition and continues efforts to raise awareness of Parkinson's disease.
