Girona hosted Festivalot this weekend, bringing 30,000 people to the city for a programme of concerts, workshops and open-access activities for children and adults.

The event took place across the Girona Auditorium, the Palau de Fires and La Devesa Park, with family concerts among the most popular parts of the programme. Organisers said some shows sold out.

According to the festival team, the turnout matched previous editions and helped confirm Festivalot’s place in Girona as a family-friendly cultural event. The organisers described it as a quality experience for adults and children.

Festival director Rita Peré said a film shoot in the city over the same weekend drew attention, but did not stop people from attending. She said attendance remained steady throughout the event.

Peré also said the team was left wanting more and hoped to keep running the festival for many more years. For more local coverage, see our news page.
