Girona City Council has approved the allocation rules for 98 protected affordable-rental homes in Can Gibert del Pla and Domeny. The homes are for people registered on Girona’s municipal resident register, with applications expected to open in September.
For registered Girona residents seeking a rental home, 65% of the properties are reserved for young people. The council has also set aside homes for people with reduced mobility or mental-health conditions, single-parent families, survivors of gender-based violence and older people.
Two developments in Can Gibert del Pla and Domeny
The council’s Junta de Govern Local, its municipal executive board, approved the rules for the two protected-housing developments under an affordable rental tenure.
- Can Gibert del Pla: 50 homes with parking spaces at 72–74 Carrer de les Agudes, exclusively for people aged up to and including 34.
- Domeny: 48 homes with parking spaces and storage rooms in two blocks at 23–25 and 27–29 Carrer de la Riera Bullidors.
Application call expected in September
The 98 homes form part of the council’s Missió Habitatge strategy, linked to Girona’s Local Housing Plan. The official call will set out how eligible applicants can submit their applications.
