In Figueres, Moha Lalouh, the mayoral candidate for Figueres en Moviment, has set out a platform centred on housing, young people and local commerce.

In an interview with El Món, Lalouh said he is concerned about the city’s housing situation. He said, “We cannot normalise people and families living in cars,” and called for “brave and effective” policies to ensure access to dignified housing.

He also said support for young people should include more job and training opportunities. Lalouh described local commerce as a “fundamental engine of the local economy” and said it needs revitalisation.

Lalouh said his party will work “tirelessly” for a Figueres that is “more just, inclusive, and sustainable”, where “no one is left behind”.
