Commuters in the Barcelona area are facing disruption on Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, with train services affected between Rubí and Terrassa Rambla after a fault in the facilities.

According to officials, services on the S1 line, Barcelona to Terrassa, and the S2 line, Barcelona to Sabadell, are running with altered frequencies. Passengers can expect a train every 20 minutes.

The disruption affects travellers in Vallès Occidental, especially people making regular journeys between Rubí, Terrassa and the wider metropolitan area. The reduced frequency may mean longer waits and busier trains on the sections that are still operating.

FGC has not given an estimated time for full restoration of normal service. Passengers should check real-time travel information before setting out and plan for possible delays.
