Second edition set for 3 December
The second edition of EnerHub Reus, the congress on energy transition organised by Reus City Council, the Reus Chamber of Commerce, and the College of Engineers of Tarragona, will take place on Thursday 3 December 2026 at FiraReus under the slogan "Caring today for what will power tomorrow". The event, which is free to attend, aims to bring together professionals from the energy sector for technical presentations, roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities. According to the official website enerhubreus.cat, registrations are now open.
Four thematic blocks and expert line-up
The day will be structured around four thematic blocks, each featuring a keynote speaker and a roundtable with four to five participants. The themes are: Energy Transition – A Shared Vision; Multilevel Territorial Planning; Local Solar and Wind Projects; and Hydrogen Projects. Key figures from industry and academia will contribute to the event. Javier Sancho Hernández, director of Repsol's Industrial Complex in Tarragona and president of the Tarragona Chemical Business Association (AEQT), will act as co-host. A scientific committee ensures the quality and rigour of the content. It includes Josep-Maria Arauzo Carod (deputy director of IU-RESCAT at Universitat Rovira i Virgili), Immaculada Miracle Montserrat (head of Institutional Relations at L’Energètica), Jose Enrique Vázquez (president of PIMEC’s Energy Commission), Lluís Morer Forns (head of Energy Efficiency at the Catalan Energy Institute, ICAEN), Joan Herrera Torres (associate professor at URV and partner at SAMSO EDS), Joan Recasens Bosch (Energy Innovation Business Manager at EURECAT), and Ferran Menescal Miralles (technical director of AEDIVE).
Networking and exhibition spaces
Presentations and roundtables will be held in the Antoni Gaudí Auditorium at FiraReus, while the Marià Fortuny Foyer will host a networking coffee break and an expanded exhibition area. This space will include a dedicated zone for commercial collaboration among companies in the sector.

said Daniel Rubio, councillor for Environment, Sustainability and Public Realm in Reus. He added that the city wants to actively contribute to debates on future energy challenges and build alliances between administrations, businesses, research centres, and sector professionals.

Rubio said.
“For the second consecutive year, we support EnerHub Reus with the aim of consolidating this congress as a reference space for an unavoidable challenge: the energy transition,”
stated Mario Basora, president of the Reus Chamber of Commerce. He highlighted that the region hosts all three of Catalonia’s nuclear reactors and plays a significant role in the rollout of renewable energy. The Chamber has supported this shift by launching its Office for Business Energy Transition over two years ago to help local companies adopt more efficient, competitive and sustainable energy models. Joan Gabriel Talarn, dean of the College of Engineers of Tarragona, stressed that engineering plays a fundamental role in moving from planning to implementing concrete projects.
