Two men, aged 30 and 33, were arrested in Empuriabrava, Girona, early on Monday morning after a street fight that reportedly involved a knife and a glass bottle. The Local Police of Castelló d’Empúries detained the individuals on suspicion of serious threats, according to police sources.
The incident occurred around 12:45am in the Santo Domingo sector of Empuriabrava. Police responded after a citizen alert reported a possible altercation in a public area. Two Local Police patrols arrived at the scene and found several people believed to be involved.
Police sources indicated that four people were involved in the fight, which ended without any injuries. During the intervention, officers seized a knife, which was allegedly used to threaten another person. A glass bottle, reportedly used by one of the arrested men during the confrontation, was also recovered.
Investigation into Suspected Stolen Items
The operation received support from two units of the Mossos d’Esquadra, Catalonia's police force. While processing the scene, officers found several objects in the possession of one of the detainees that might have been obtained illegally. The Local Police are continuing their checks to determine if these items are linked to other criminal acts or if they have been reported as stolen.
