Covisa Manresa has announced the signing of Ian Herrerías, a player from Sant Vicenç de Castellet, for the new season. The move brings the forward back to the Pujolet club after seven seasons with the team.
After leaving Manresa FS, Herrerías joined the youth set-up at Industrias Santa Coloma and later signed for Puerto Atlético de Ceuta, also at youth level. During that spell, he made his debut in Segona B, playing one match for Sociedad La Pantera in the North African autonomous city.
Herrerías then moved into senior football with Futsal Vilomara this season. He played in the Third National Division and helped the Bages side finish second in their group.
He is known for his attacking style, right-footed play and individual skill. He joins Àlex Terraga Terri and Eudald Ripollès as new additions to the squad.
The club has also appointed Xavi Santaella, known as Santa, as head coach. Covisa Manresa expects to announce more signings soon as it works towards a 15-player roster. For more local sports coverage, see our news page.
