Tarragona’s Provincial Council has promoted Costa Daurada inland tourism to around 20 French tourism media outlets in Paris, as part of a wider effort to broaden the area’s appeal beyond the coast.
A delegation from the council’s tourism board presented the cultural, food and wine experiences available in the Costa Daurada interior. The event also included a tasting of local products, with several of the region’s designations of origin featured.
Jordi Molinera, vice president of the Provincial Council’s Tourism Board, led the delegation. He said there was “great interest” from the media attending and stressed the value of reaching “quality prescribers in a strategic market like the French one”.
The Paris promotion forms part of a broader strategy for 2026 and 2027, within the joint promotion plan for the Costa Daurada interior that has been active since 2024. More on local tourism coverage can be found on our news page.
The plan brings together 16 public bodies from the region. Its aim is to improve the visitor experience by spreading markets and products across the territory throughout the year, while supporting a more balanced and responsible tourism economy.
It includes the regional councils of Alt Camp, Baix Camp, Baix Penedès, Conca de Barberà and Priorat, as well as the municipalities of Valls, Alcover, Prades, Reus, La Selva del Camp, Pratdip, l'Espluga de Francolí, Montblanc and El Pla de Santa Maria. The Poblet National Natural Area of Interest and the Serra de Montsant Natural Park are also part of the initiative.
