The CH Amposta men's handball team has secured promotion to Segona Catalana after defeating Sant Andreu C in their 3a Catalana League quarter-final play-off match in Amposta, Terres de l'Ebre.

The team from Montsià dominated the match, winning 30-34, building on a significant 10-goal advantage from the first leg. Their strategy focused on a strong defence and extended attacks to manage the clock effectively.

During the first half, CH Amposta's defensive prowess was particularly evident, limiting Sant Andreu C to just 10 goals by half-time, with the score standing at 10-17. This strong lead allowed the Amposta side to approach the second half with confidence.

CH Amposta maintained control throughout the second half, never allowing their lead to be threatened. The team's goalkeepers, Isra (5 saves) and Joen (4 saves), along with key scorers Aaron Buera (9 goals), Miquel (7 goals), Kristian (4 goals), and Ferran (4 goals), contributed significantly to their victory.

Semi-Finals Await CH Amposta

With their promotion secured, CH Amposta now prepares for the semi-finals. Their first semi-final match will be played at home against Martorell B on Sunday 26th at 12pm, at the Tecnificació pavilion.
