Catalonia is preparing for a weekend of stable weather, with sunny conditions prevailing across much of the region, according to the Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya (Meteocat). However, afternoon showers are expected to continue in the country's northern areas.
Saturday will begin with clouds in the southern third of Catalonia and mist along the coast. Cloud cover will also be present in parts of the Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees, where temperatures will be slightly lower. In these same northern zones, afternoon downpours and showers may be accompanied by thunderstorms.
Sunday is also forecast to start sunny, though with more clouds than Saturday, particularly in the south, central Catalonia, and the north. Showers will reappear in the Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees during the afternoon, while the rest of the country will enjoy sunny weather.
