In Tarragona and across Camp de Tarragona, around 90 restaurants will add traditional recipes from local grandparents to their menus. The initiative covers Alt Camp, Baix Penedès and Tarragonès, and is designed to preserve the area’s culinary heritage.
Each participating restaurant will choose one dish from the book Un tast de records, receptes des del cor (A Taste of Memories, Recipes from the Heart) to feature on its menu. The book brings together about 90 recipes and personal stories from older residents in Camp de Tarragona.
The project is a joint effort by the Ginac, Santa Teresa and Onada foundations. They worked together to collect the recipes and the memories behind them, so that local food traditions can be passed on.
For restaurants, the scheme adds a link to family cooking and regional identity. For diners, it offers a chance to try home-style dishes rooted in the Camp de Tarragona area.
