Cambrils residents and visitors will be able to attend free outdoor events around the port on Tuesday 28 July as the 51st Festival Internacional de Música de Cambrils opens. The programme includes a seven-minute videomapping projection on the Torre del Port, a travelling street performance and a 10pm boogie-woogie concert on the Passeig Marítim.

The projection, created by Sergi Casero and Meri Vallverdú of Projek Visual, will be shown in several sessions from 8.30pm until 11.30pm, when the opening concert ends. It will be projected on the façade of the Torre del Port.

LaDyva & The Barcelona Big Blues Band will perform the free opening concert at 10pm. The band is led by double bassist Ivan Kovacevic, while LaDyva is a Swiss pianist and singer known for boogie-woogie.

La Biciband will travel from Plaça del Pòsit to the port

Before the concert, La Biciband will begin its travelling theatre and swing music show at Plaça del Pòsit at 8.15pm. The Cambrils group performs from a vintage tandem bicycle carrying a piano.

  • Plaça del Pòsit, where the route starts at 8.15pm.
  • Plaça de l'Església.
  • Plaça de Mossèn Joan Batalla.
  • Torre del Port, where the performance will finish.

Circus and clown performances planned before later concerts

The festival is also adding street theatre and circus acts around several concert nights, alongside its main stages. According to the festival's official programme, the 2026 edition runs from 28 July to 10 August and includes 14 concerts.

  • 31 July: Circus Wheel, combining giant-wheel acrobatics with live traditional jazz and dixieland, before The Gospel Viu Choir at Parc del Pescador.
  • 1 August: Los Herrerita will bring juggling and acrobatics to the street on the night of La Ludwig Band's concert.
