In Cadaqués, the Catalan government has opened a formal case against the WeCamp campsite after a municipal inspection found planning breaches. The inspection was carried out by Cadaqués Town Council before the environmental group SOS Costa Brava filed its initial complaint.

The council then sent the documentation to the Generalitat, which took over the matter. According to Mayor Pia Serinyana, the Generalitat started the case in July last year, and it is now in the allegations phase.

Serinyana criticised SOS Costa Brava for accusing the council of a lack of transparency and for not responding to their concerns. She said the environmental group had been informed about the ongoing case.
