In Cadaqués, the Catalan government has opened disciplinary proceedings against a campsite after a municipal planning inspection found breaches. The case began with checks by Cadaqués Town Council, before environmental group SOS Costa Brava filed a complaint.
The inspection identified several planning irregularities at the coastal site, which includes caravans and tents near the sea. Those findings were then passed to the Generalitat de Catalunya, which has now started the sanctioning process.
According to the information available, the proceedings could lead to fines or other penalties, depending on the seriousness of the breaches. The regional government will now assess the full extent of the irregularities before deciding on the next steps.
