Blanes Council in Girona has approved a project to improve road connections and construct a new community centre in the La Pedrera-Carretera de Lloret neighbourhood. The investment for these works is set at €119,999.99, according to local officials.

The project addresses a long-standing request from residents in the area. Its main goals are to improve local mobility and create a dedicated meeting space for the community, officials said.

Enhancing Local Infrastructure

The plan includes the urbanisation of a 550-square-metre section. This will involve creating a new access road and upgrading public lighting in the area. Additionally, a 150-square-metre community centre will be built, designed to host cultural and social activities for residents.

The works are part of Blanes' Urban Improvement Plan. Construction is expected to start by the end of the year and is estimated to take six months to complete. Residents of La Pedrera-Carretera de Lloret have expressed satisfaction with the project's approval, viewing it as a significant improvement for their neighbourhood.
