In Berga, a shared office used by Berga Grup Independent and Aliança Catalana is set to change use and become a historical and cultural archive.

The premises are at Carrer Ciutat number 19. Local reports say signs have been posted on the building asking people to respect the property, after incidents involving stickers and graffiti following a visit by Sílvia Orriols.

Regió7 reported that the space will become the future home of the Arxiu Familiar Galderic Safont. The project is led by Ramon Miquel Safont.

The planned archive will provide a permanent base for the Galderic Safont Family Archive, with the aim of preserving and promoting local history and culture. The change of use would place the archive in a central part of Berga.

No timeline has been confirmed for when the political groups will move out or when the archive will open. For more Catalonia-wide local news, see our news page.
