Berga, Catalonia, is at the centre of a police investigation after Mossos d'Esquadra officers arrested a man and a woman on Thursday in connection with the death of a local resident found in the Baells reservoir.
The victim was a man, believed to be about 60 years old, who lived in Berga’s old quarter. His body was found floating in the reservoir, prompting a full enquiry into the circumstances of his death.
As part of the investigation, police have inspected several locations, including the victim’s flat in the old town. Authorities have not released the identities of the two arrested people or said what charges they may face.
