Barcelona police have arrested a 26-year-old woman in connection with the alleged theft of €920 from a parish in Nou Barris, money that was meant to pay for children's excursions.
According to the Mossos d'Esquadra, the incident happened on 15 April at around 8pm. The parish priest, who was looking after the money, was approached by a man and a woman who said they needed help. They then got him out of his office.
While the priest was distracted, the cash was taken. Police said the woman was arrested on 28 May and was found with the priest's mobile phone.
The Mossos said in a statement on Sunday that the investigation is still open and that further arrests have not been ruled out. More Catalonia news
