Barcelona starts the week with summer heat and humidity on Monday, 1 June, while some coastal fog is possible along the seafront early in the day, according to Betevé's weather forecast.
The city is expected to have another tropical night before Monday, with some coastal clouds around 9am. By midday, skies should clear and temperatures could rise quickly, reaching 28C to 30C by 3pm. The evening is expected to stay summery, with some wispy clouds around 6pm.
Across Catalonia, the forecast points to a stable start to June, with clear skies apart from low clouds or morning fog near the sea, especially south of Barcelona. These should clear quickly as the day goes on.
In the afternoon, some fair-weather clouds may form over Montseny, but they are not expected to have a major impact. Temperatures should stay close to Sunday’s levels, although a slight drop could appear in the pre-coastal areas near Penedès. Heat and humidity will remain marked across the region.
A change is expected by mid-week, when a slightly cooler air mass is forecast to arrive between Tuesday and Wednesday. The shift should become clearer from Tuesday evening, when the wind is expected to turn east. By Wednesday, the heat should feel more moderate, and that pattern could last until the weekend.
