Barcelona residents in Ciutat Vella are facing disruption as roadworks continue between Carrer Hospital and Carrer Vistalegre. The works are affecting both vehicle traffic and pedestrian access in the city centre.

The project was announced by the Ajuntament de Barcelona, which says the works will change local traffic flow and access in the area. People living and working nearby should expect adjustments to usual routes.

The council has not given the exact duration or full scope of the works, but it has confirmed there will be “afectacions”, or disruptions. In practice, that can mean diversions for vehicles, temporary pedestrian routes, and noise during working hours.

Residents and businesses in the affected streets are advised to plan ahead for commutes and deliveries. For official city information, check the Ajuntament de Barcelona website and its transport updates.
