Barcelona’s Monumental Ferris Wheel has moved to a new site beside the W Hotel, at Plaça de la Rosa dels Vents, 1. The attraction was previously operating in Barceloneta, according to local reports.
The wheel offers passengers views across the city from its cabins. It will remain at its new location for the whole summer season, giving residents and visitors a different way to see the Catalan capital.
The move places the attraction closer to the beach and the marina. That may make it easier to reach for people spending time along Barcelona’s coastline.
Officials have not yet set out any long-term plans for the Ferris wheel after summer. For more local coverage, see our news page.
