Barcelona’s municipal housing agency, Habitatge, has relaunched its virtual platform, with the Barcelona City Council saying the update is designed to make housing resources and procedures easier to access for residents across the city.

The redesign focuses on a simpler user experience, so people can find information and complete housing-related paperwork online with less difficulty. The agency says the platform is intended to support residents looking for housing assistance or guidance.

According to the council, the previous online environment has been overhauled to reduce barriers to key housing information and support. The services covered include information on affordable housing, subsidies and rental assistance programmes.

The new platform is meant to be more intuitive and easier to navigate, helping users move through housing options and administrative tasks more smoothly. The council says this forms part of a wider effort to improve public services through digital tools.

Habitatge will monitor how the platform performs and gather user feedback so further changes can be made. For more local coverage, see our news page.
