Barcelona received its first notable rainfall of May on Saturday afternoon, as a band of precipitation moved from south to north across the coast and pre-coastal areas. Residents could monitor the weather live via the Montjuïc camera, according to betevé.

While May had already seen some light rain, Saturday's episode marked the most significant downpour of the month. Despite the afternoon being wet, officials did not expect large quantities of rain, and the event was short-lived. Sunday is forecast to bring sunshine until late afternoon, with showers concentrating in the western counties.

Unstable Weather Ahead

The weather is set to remain relatively cool and unstable into the coming week. Forecasters predict the possible arrival of a polar cold air mass, which could lead to more unsettled conditions from Wednesday onwards. Before then, Barcelona will experience a couple of warmer days, particularly on Sunday and Monday.
