Barcelona has closed the fifth edition of the Sons d’Educació cycle with the concert La volta al món amb 100 cordes, or Around the World with 100 Strings, at the El Born Cultural and Memorial Centre.

According to Barcelona City Council officials, the performance brought together about 100 string musicians. It served as the final event in the city’s annual educational music programme.

Sons d’Educació is an initiative organised by Barcelona City Council. Its aim is to promote musical education and give young musicians performance opportunities in the city.

The closing concert underlined the programme’s focus on musical training and public cultural activity. El Born Cultural and Memorial Centre, a historic venue in Barcelona, regularly hosts events of this kind.
