FC Barcelona players and president Joan Laporta celebrated their La Liga title victory with thousands of fans across Barcelona on Sunday night. Construction work on La Rambla meant the main fan gathering shifted from the traditional Canaletes fountain to Plaça Catalunya.
Young players Marc Casadó and Alejandro Balde joined supporters in Plaça Catalunya, leading chants and broadcasting the scene live on social media. They jumped along to the chant, "Madridista who doesn't jump," encouraging the party atmosphere like any other fans.
Players' Unique Celebrations
The 'Bicing gang' also made a return, cycling to a nightclub. Pedri, Dani Olmo, and Èric Garcia used Barcelona's municipal bike-sharing service to travel from Spotify Camp Nou to Twenties, a nightlife venue in the upper part of the city. Residents cheered them on and shared videos online.
These players, along with Robert Lewandowski, had similar celebrations last season. They visited Ferran Torres at Hospital de Barcelona, where he was admitted for cystitis, showing their close bond.
Meanwhile, Joan Laporta and the players' families celebrated at the Luz de Gas nightclub. The Barça president's favoured spot did not disappoint, with Laporta seen dancing to Rosalía's 'Despechá' and enjoying the festivities.
Citywide Festivities
Thousands of 'culers' celebrated the La Liga title in a calm night without major incidents, according to officials. The team initially received the trophy on the pitch at Spotify Camp Nou. However, the celebration quickly moved to Plaça Catalunya, which filled with blaugrana supporters.
The club is expected to announce further details on official celebrations and any planned parades in the coming days, allowing more fans to join in the success.
