The Civil Protection Commission of Catalonia has given the green light to safety plans for several major events across the region, including upcoming concerts by Bad Bunny and El Último de la Fila. The Commission's Self-Protection Committee homologated 27 self-protection plans (PAU) on Friday, 24 April 2026.

Among the approved plans are those for the Cap Roig Festival in Palafrugell, Girona, and the Cocoa nightclub in Mataró, Barcelona. This decision allows these venues and events to proceed, ensuring public safety according to official standards.

Broad Safety Approvals

Civil Protection officials stated that a total of 131 self-protection plans have been approved in 2026 across four commission meetings held so far. The plans cover a wide array of public and private facilities, ensuring they meet the necessary safety protocols for large gatherings and operations.

Other notable plans approved on Friday include those for the ALBA Synchrotron in Cerdanyola del Vallès, Barcelona, the TV3 building in Sant Joan Despí, Barcelona, the Fira de Sabadell exhibition centre in Barcelona, and the Maremàgnum shopping centre in Barcelona. These approvals are critical for the safe operation of significant public and scientific facilities throughout Catalonia.
