Alt Empordà, in Girona, is set for a busy weekend on 6 and 7 June 2026, with festivals, music, fairs and cultural events in towns including Cadaqués, L'Escala, Figueres, Borrassà, Llançà, Roses and Viladamat.
The programme includes the Cadaqués Indianos Fair, Corpus Christi celebrations in Borrassà and Figueres, the 51st Aplec de la Sardana in L'Escala, and the 5th Alt Empordà Craft Beer Tasting Fair in Figueres. Many activities are free, while some need tickets or reservations.
On Saturday, 6 June, Cadaqués will host its Indianos Fair all day, plus a tribute to artist Fina Miralles at Teatre Art i Joia at 11:30am, with the presentation of her books, Cadaqués es meu refugi and Llum i reflex. In L'Escala, the day includes a popular sardinada, an exhibition at Alfolí de la Sal, a conference on Víctor Català at Biblioteca Víctor Català, and Catalan ballets by Grup de Danses La Farandola. Figueres will hold themed tastings, including a Xocobirra pairing at Balcó del Mercat de la plaça Catalunya at 11:30am, a visit to the Rufa workshop with a tasting of five beers at 6pm, and a book presentation at the Museu del Joguet de Catalunya.
Also on Saturday, Llançà will open the exhibition Llançà: Un tribut al mar i a la seva gent. La mirada artística d’Agustí Masvidal i Salavert (1920-2000) at Casa del Mar at 12pm. Roses will host Hola Estiu Roses, with gastronomic tastings and live music on the Passeig Marítim from 5 to 7 June.
On Sunday, 7 June, Borrassà will celebrate its XXI Fira Corpus Borrassà in the old town, with a solemn mass, procession and sardanes with Cobla Foment del Montgrí at the church at 12pm. The town will also show floral carpets, decorations and floral ornaments throughout the centre. The Cadaqués Indianos Fair continues all day.
In L'Escala, MAC-Empúries will hold open days from 10am to 6pm, with a theatrical Roman visit from 11am to 1pm for €6 per person, excluding site entry, and free entry for children under 8. The 51st Aplec de la Sardana runs from 10:30am to 7pm at Plaça Catalunya, with cobles Ciutat de Girona, Els Rossinyolets and Bisbal Jove. Figueres will continue its Corpus Christi celebrations with floral carpets in the city centre from 8am to 11am, on display until 6:30pm, and the 8th Soc Friki Soc Cultura convention at Plaça Catalunya from 10am to 8pm.
Viladamat will close the weekend with its IX Vermouth and Local Products Fair at Plaça de l’1 d’octubre from 11am to 9pm, with producers, live performances and a popular botifarrada at 9pm. For more local coverage, see our news tag.
