Police in Cabra del Camp, in Tarragona, arrested 14 people on 3 June after a joint operation by the Mossos d'Esquadra and the Policía Nacional dismantled a criminal group linked to cannabis cultivation and trafficking.

The operation began early on Wednesday and led to the dismantling of 11 cannabis plantations containing more than 5,000 plants. Officers also carried out 15 searches and raids as part of the case, according to officials.

The action is a significant blow to drug trafficking in the Alt Camp area. It also shows the continued coordination between the Mossos d'Esquadra, Catalonia's police force, and the national Policía Nacional in tackling organised crime linked to large-scale drug production.

Authorities have not released further details about the identities of those arrested or any possible charges. The investigation remains ongoing as police process the evidence gathered during the raids.
