A two-year-old girl remains in critical condition following a serious accident on the Pont de la Mina in Montcada i Reixac, Vallès Occidental, on Saturday, 8 August. The incident occurred in the evening near Parc de les Aigües and Avinguda de la Ribera.

Emergency services responded swiftly after receiving alerts, dispatching multiple ambulances from the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) alongside patrols from the Montcada Local Police and Mossos d'Esquadra, Catalonia’s regional police force. Due to the severity of the incident and ongoing medical response, authorities temporarily closed off the greenway around the bridge to pedestrians.

The child, critically injured, was urgently transferred to Hospital de la Vall d'Hebron in Barcelona, where she remains under intensive medical supervision. No further details about the nature of the accident have been released by emergency or municipal officials.

“We send all our support to the family and the most sincere wish that she recovers soon.”

Bartolomé Egea, mayor of Montcada i Reixac, issued a public statement via social media, thanking emergency responders for their rapid action and expressing solidarity with the child’s family.
