Five-day festival opens with Joan Dausà
The Occident Summerfest Cerdanya launches its fifth edition today, running from 13 to 22 August in Puigcerdà, marking its place as a key cultural event in the Pyrenees summer calendar. Organised by Grup Clipper’s, the festival opens with Joan Dausà, who presents his album Immortals, followed by performances from La Ludwig Band on 14 August.
Line-up features major Spanish and Catalan acts
The 2026 line-up includes La La Love You, Pablo López on 17 August, Mag Lari’s magic show Strafalari on 18 August, and Rosario performing her Universo de ley set on 19 August. Lax’n’Busto return to the stage on 20 August, celebrating 40 years since the band’s original formation, before tribute act Coldday performs iconic Coldplay tracks on 21 August. The festival closes on 22 August with Taburete presenting their El perro que fuma tour.
Family-friendly activities and dining village
Beyond music, the festival features the return of the Village area, offering food trucks, rest zones, and family-friendly activities before and after concerts. Designed as a meeting point, the space reinforces the festival’s aim to deliver a complete experience.
We started this project five years ago to create a festival closely tied to the territory and capable of offering a high-quality experience.
Juli Guiu, president of Grup Clipper’s and director of the festival, said the fifth edition confirms the event’s role in the region’s cultural calendar. He added that it encourages continued growth without losing the festival’s original character.
