Moià, in Central Catalonia, has reopened Carrer de la Tosca after eight months of urbanisation works aimed at prioritising pedestrians and improving underground services.

The project included a full renewal of the sanitation network, with improvements to rainwater and wastewater drainage. The potable water supply network was also fully renewed, according to local officials.

The works focused on the section between Carrer de Miquel Martí i Pol and the Manresa road. The aim was to create a safer and more welcoming space for people on foot, while giving pedestrians priority in the area.

Traffic in the area has now returned to normal, although some finishing touches are still pending. These include planting trees and installing new street furniture, which will complete the project’s visual and practical elements.
