Corrections Policy

Our commitment to accuracy

Catalan.News is committed to accurate, fair reporting. When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently.

How to request a correction

If you believe a story contains an error of fact, please email hello@catalan.news with the subject line "Correction request" and include the article URL, the specific error, and the correct information with a source if possible.

How we handle corrections

Minor errors (typos, misspellings, date errors) are corrected silently in the article text.

Material errors (factual inaccuracies that affect the meaning of a story) are corrected with a visible note at the bottom of the article stating what was changed and when.

Significant errors (errors that could cause harm or substantially mislead readers) are corrected with a prominent note at the top of the article and, where appropriate, a follow-up article.

Clarifications

Sometimes a story is factually correct but could be clearer. In these cases we add a clarification note rather than a correction.

Response time

We aim to review all correction requests within 24 hours and publish corrections within 48 hours.
