Cornellà de Llobregat has recognised residents and organisations through its biennial City of Cornellà Awards, a scheme that has run since 1999. The awards highlight work across civic action, economy, humanities, a special award and an honour award.
Nominations come from people and groups in the community. A jury made up of citizens and representatives from municipal political groups reviews the candidatures and selects one individual and one collective recognition in each category.
In the most recent awards, for 2026, Margarita Pilar González Parpal and the project Tres historias asombrosas were recognised in Humanities. Anna Lluch Saura and the Sanfeliu-Sant Ildefons Children's and Youth Club received the Civic Action awards. La Pastisseria - Vicenç Puig and Laboratorio Electrotécnico SCCL were recognised in Economy.
The Special City of Cornellà de Llobregat Award went to Antón Costas Comesaña and the Table of Third Sector Social Entities of Catalonia. Gregori Manso Santos and the Cornellà Chess Club received the City of Cornellà Honour Award. The 2024 awards went to Montserrat Galícia i Gorritz and Escola Abat Oliba in Humanities, Gemma Gallofré Sanahuja and the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Cornellà in Civic Action, and Celler de la Consol and Recibaix SL in Economy.
