Badalona is at the centre of a police investigation after three people fled the city in a stolen car and rammed it into a Mossos d'Esquadra patrol vehicle. Officers then used their service weapons as the suspects escaped.
The incident happened recently and is being handled by Catalan police. At this stage, authorities have not released details on any injuries or the damage caused to the patrol car.
The vehicle involved was stolen, and police say the crash into the patrol car was deliberate. The three people then made their escape, leaving officers to continue the search in Badalona and the surrounding area.
